GAME OF THRONES Directors Alan Taylor And Daniel Minahan Are Up For THOR 2! Plus New Writers!

After the sudden departure of director Patty Jenkins in THOR 2 due to creative difference, Marvel Studios may found their next replacement for the superhero sequel. They are two TV directors, Alan Taylor and Daniel Minahan -- both of them best known for directing episodes of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.

Apart from that, Marvel Studios is also eyeing for a new screenwriter to polish the script. Among the candidates are Sheldon Turner (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS), John Collee (MASTER AND COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD), Robert Rodat (SAVING PRIVATE RYAN), and Roger Avary (PULP FICTION).

THOR 2 comes to theaters on November 15, 2013.
