Alan Taylor (GAME OF THRONES) Is Finalized As THOR 2 Director

After the sudden departure of director Patty Jenkins, Marvel Studios has narrowed down to two directors, Alan Taylor and Daniel Minahan (both who are best known for HBO's Game Of Thrones) to helm THOR 2.

Now Marvel Studios has finally decided that Alan Taylor will be officially direct THOR 2. This will marked Taylor's second directorial feature after PALOOKAVILLE (1995). He remains a prominent TV director who also helmed some of the finest episodes of Mad Men, Nurse Jackie and Boardwalk Empire.

With THOR 2 finally secured its director, the sequel is now back on the fast track. A November 15, 2013 release date remains in the card.

Like Patty Jenkins, Alan Taylor is certainly a risky if inspiring choice to helm such big-budget blockbuster like THOR 2. Let's hope he's up for the game.
