Following from the spectacular teaser trailer of Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS, more juicy detail has surfaced online. This time, one of the co-stars of the upcoming sci-fi blockbuster, Charlize Theron has revealed her character isn't the one you might expect to be (you know what I'm talking about -- Sigourney Weaver's Lt. Ellen Ripley-like character in the previous four ALIEN movies). Here's what she had to say about her character below.
No, I actually don’t play the heroine in it; that’s Noomi Rapace. I play somewhat of a villain in it.
So what kind of villain Theron will be playing in PROMETHEUS anyway?
She’s not believer, she’s not a scientist, she is the red tape that everyone has to go through. She’s working with the company that’s sponsoring this whole thing and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act. She’s more quiet thunder.
That's not all, Theron also hinted that PROMETHEUS might delivers something as frightening as the original's iconic chest-bursting scene.
Maybe! I mean if you’re a Ridley Scott fan and you love the genre, then you’re going to be happy. You’re going to be very, very happy.
PROMETHEUS opens on June 7, 2012.
