Samar starring Vishal, Trisha and Sunaina was earlier scheduled to release this weekend, on the last Friday of 2012. But Thiru recently announced that the film’s release is being pushed for a better date, due to practical problems.
It is rumoured that the film might release on Pongal. Incidentally, Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja is also scheduled for the same day and he might just compete with himself.
Samar is Thiru’s second film with Vishal after Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai and Yuvan Shankar Raja has done the music for this one too. Vishal is doing a double role in this action flick and Jayaprakash, Sampath, Majoj Bajpai and JD Chakravarthy are featuring in supporting characters.
